He’s back! (sailor-girl pin-up shoot)
Alright here we go, this is how my evening went tonight..
I did some warming-up in café Scheiwijck. With the regulars, Ger and Henk. The guys I just know from the pub.
And then I figured out, the taxi took just too long, longer then 30 minutes (as promissed!) and I said to Henk: “Screw taxi, I shall walk!”, and so I did. Henk would wait for a taxi (which didn’t come at all) and we’d meet eachother in (hardrock) café Asgard again… And so it happened (well.. oh… hmm…. he walked too! :p ;-))
“Café Scheiwijck” is the bar where I went, one and half year ago or so, for the first time… and I’ve got drunk as a hell, and 3 days later I’ve got a certain phone call, at about 9 o’ clock in the morning. From my beauty consulent. And she said:
“Alexander, don’t you miss something?”
– OK. Let’s be honest, such a beautiful voice… what can you miss at such a moment?? Hmmm? –
Me (half awake): “well, maybe I do, maybe I don’t.. whatz up?! Is there something I should miss?”
Her: “perhaps your wallet?!”
Me: “Oh… then you know more then I do this morning, haha!”
Her: “(* laughing too… *) Yes, I’ve just got the phone call from café Scheiwijck, as my card was the one they called first, and there was no your own phone number in there… and they asked kindly if I’d give you a phone call so you could go back there and pick-up your wallet…”
– Just for the reccord: everything was in there; my money, my bank cards and all …
Even 3 days later! –
And that’s how I became their regular.
No SHbeepT, just honesty!
Anywayz, just wanted to tell where am I hanging out at evenings. Mainly Scheiwijck, often Asgard as well and few other places (perhaps I’ll write about those too). Well, not every evening though, sometimes I have to work too.
Nice people and just around the corner, maybe 300 meter from my home at most, which is very handy - just in case I can’t walk anymore - but roll back home in stead.
:P
——
After an hour in Asgard (the rest of the city was dead, more or less), I came thus back to Scheiwijck.
And this guy said (*winks to his friends*): “he’s back!” And then the other guy from the same group said to me: “Are you now finished with your travesty city tour?!” (*laughing to his friends*)
To the first guy I answered: “Yes, I’m back!” To the second one: “What ‘travesty city tour’ do you mean?! If I want a travesty city tour, I’d go to Amsterdam, but as you can STILL see me right here tonight, that can only mean that Beverwijk is a village - boring to death - and full of peasants! So, what are we now talking about?!”
“He’s now pissed off! Haha..” (*he winks to his friends [two housewives and a friend] again*.)
I looked him straight into his eyes. And then he said: “Dude, just kiddin’, shall I buy you a drink?!” And I said: “No, thanks. Perhaps some other time. Cheers.” And then he shaked my hand.
That’s what happened and that’s where I left it.
Maybe some day this a$$hole shall become my friend. Who knows. The world is weird enough. At place like Scheiwijck, people become friends quite easily - IF you keep coming back of course.
———-
Scheiwijk was also the place where I met Ger, a year ago or so. Ger is a truck-driver (my favorite people!), easy going, not complicated at all, let alone a troublemaker… We just drink together and we talk. Actually he talks all the time, haha - and I’m happy listener. *sigh*
Several weeks ago I told Ger about this pin-up photoshoot in Leiden, and then he said:
“Alexxzzz, I’ll brrrrring you theeeaaare tomorrrrrow!” ;-)
And I laughed, I said it won’t be necessary as I’d take the train in stead, as usual.. I like to read in the train, so, it’s ok.. Trains are OK!” (although the most of Dutch think otherwise, mierenneukers!)
“Noooo!” he said: “Tomorrrrrow morning, 10 o’ clockkkkk!
“Well oh…, OK then. But if you stay in your bed, I’ll be fine with that too.” It was about 3 o’ clock AM. So I hoped he’d sleep like a rose next morning, let alone remember any of this.
Pin-up shoot
But noppes!
The next morning 10 o’ clock AM sharp, Ger stood in a front of my door.
Holy shiiiiit!
So, after almost an hour tumbling on highway and through the streets of Leiden in his 1978 Mini (”AleeeeeeX?!…. YeeeaaH… WhaaaaaaT….. GerrrrrrR?!“), God, his car can make such a noise!
… we came to Leiden Studio and everybody was there already: Michael (the photographer), Lotte (the model) and Lette (the photographer).
It was supposed to be a “sailor-girl” pin-up shoot… But - Noooo!
It became Popeye and Olive shoot in stead. The photographers were charmed by his appearance - and got in love with Ger at once (who could blame them?! ;-)) and Ger got in love with them too! What a surprise …

And that’s the whole story, exactly how it happened. That’s how Ger became a supermodel. ;-) |
