“Adam was human; he didn’t want the apple for the apple’s sake;
he wanted it because it was forbidden.”
– Mark Twain –

The last night in the pub wasn’t really something I call fun, except a little, ‘short’ entertainment.

Once again I took Big Girl out and we played some pool but as soon as we started playing, two other guys (I occasionly see there) were hanging all over Big Girl and I decided to leave the pool table and go to talk to some of my people.

An hour later the two guys were still waltzing around Big Girl, explaining her how “she should bow more over the pool table” and “why longer pool sticks are better then short ones…”

One of them was the same guy who told her that: “his dbeeeeepck is bigger then mine” a couple of weeks ago … and he even showed it to her in the middle of the pub! (*sigh*)

Hmmm.. Is this the best these guys can do?
Is this what they concider flirt and seduction?
How can they possibly even think that by showing their genitals to a girl, could ever be a good seduction strategy or even lead to attraction?

I call it the act of desperation!

It’s even pathetic and primitive.
That’s what monkeys do.

No selfrespecting woman will ever buy such a crap, unless she’s retarded or even more desperate then they are.

I also saw they tried to put their hands on her abeeeps a couple of times, but she politely refused it. She laughed a lot though (who could blame her!), so she appearantly had a good time.

These are the guys I thus often see in the pub, but also the guys who normaly NEVER TALK TO ME, either it’s because I’m not interesting enough to them, they exclusively talk TO WOMEN ONLY …or they just are NOT MY PEOPLE.

Either way, as I think their behavior is far from amusing and their idiot talk far from entertaining, they are definitely NOT my people. That I can say for sure.

They were however VERY interested in Big Girl and wouldn’t leave her alone. Not even for a second. She of course enjoyed all the attention, as every other woman naturally would, so I can understand that. But as these guys - never talk to me - I found their behavior a bit annoying and I figured out that an hour talking to a Big Girl is long enough for them, so I decided that - THEIR PARTY IS OVER! – and it was time for Big Girl and me to go home. After I gave Big Girl her jacket and called her at the bar to say hello to the pub owner and some of my people, we finally left the pub.

Embrace the fool babe!

Yesterday afternoon, on the other hand, was far more joy to me. We’ve been in Utrecht to see “Poets To Their Beloved” concert, as I promissed to Sas I’d come, even Sas and I decided the night before during our talk on the phone, that we wouldn’t do makeup that day. Their stay in hotel and having very little time to prepare, was stressfull enough to her. The weather wasn’t promissing the day before either… And I respect that.

Their gig yesterday was just great. Sunny day (after all) and plenty of people before the stage, just as it should be. In a front of the stage many pro- and hobby photographers taking the pictures of gothic models all the time, were yet unable to steal the show, no matter how hard they tried. Sas felt just TOO GOOD on the stage and I could see it on her face. She made the crowd go quiet, and as reward, they’d give her a loud applause after every single song.

Love Song

In the beginning, God made Saskia and Marcel.
Later on he made 3 other band members.

Poets to their beloved, song: “Love”, video.
This was by the way their first gig ever! (video made in Cafe Lokaal, Heemskerk).

Their second gig was private one, on my birthday party 2 years ago. :))

After I made a few Poets photo’s and their gig was over, we had to go back to the car in order not to get another parking ticket. Somehow Big Girl seems to spend more money on parking tickets penalties every month then on gasoline, but don’t ask me - why is that… have no idea how she does it, but she just manages to get them all. Just like getting (traffic) red lights all the time while driving. That’s another thing she’s good at I guess. ;-)

On our way back to the car I met these two people. And I asked them if was OK to make a few pictures for my site, and they said it was OK.

This girl explained me she did the facepaint herself and also that her eyeliner brush is just not thin enough to do it better. As I sometimes do such a facepaints with models as well, I know exactly what she meant and I definitely agreed with her. No eyeliner brush is thin enough!

Seeing gothics, their clothes, makeup and facepaints is however always inspirational to me as a makeup artist. These people spend a lots of time and effort on their outter appearance and the results are sometimes just amazing. As a makeup artist, I don’t mind analyzing their work whatsoever. I appreciate what they do and I often want to find out how they did it - so I can do it too. I believe every makeup artist should have a such attitude. You can learn a lot from these people… even when they’re not professionals.
