Fitness girl
I often meet women (mostly models) who never leave their homes without a makeup. The reason for some of them is that they feel insecure, they do not deny it, but that doesn’t fit for all of them. Some women just don’t feel right without a makeup. To them it’s almost like walking naked on the street.
Either they go out, do shopping, go to fitness or even have a photoshoot… it doesn’t matter. They ALWAYS have a makeup on.
And when I ask: “you did know there would be a makeup artist on the shoot today, didn’t you?!”
“Yes.” She says. “I did know that.”
“Then why did you put makeup on this morning?”
“Couldn’t help it!” …is mostly the answer.
We do lose some time in a such situation, in order to clean her face first, but I never get angry on my models because of it. In a way, I think it’s cute. It’s one of those little things that make woman, be a woman.
Flirty, fit and fabulous!
Have you ever done fitness? If yes, then there’s no way you could’ve missed them. A flirty (cliché) cute faces type ladies, having athletic, sexy, slender and fabulous bodies… as there’s nothing else they’ve ever done their entire life but workouts. But no! Looking good is not good enough. They have to have makeup too! Which is I think just comic – NO SWEAT! ;-)
Like makeup is needed for their fat-burning fitness routines, as: jogging, weights workout and push-ups exercises…?! Yes/No? Well, that’s where it gets tough, in order to understand of what’s really going on. What these ladies DO understand, and many of us DON’T, is that it’s all about the feeling.
Feeling good.
Fitness or a makeup gym?
Some of us shall sweat as hell, hours long - and still not manage to feel good. But these ladies, as soon as they enter the fitness club with their makeup on – they feel good already! It’s more or less their lifestyle, their recreation/workout itself, and they don’t even need a trainer for it.
That’s what I call a makeup gym. :)
If that’s what makes a woman relaxing, young, healthy, fresh, fit and beautiful … I’d say: go for it!
To my opinion, it’s equal to a positive thinking, or let’s say: a brain jogging.
A fitness girl photoshoot
No, not Startrek pin up, lollita, sailor girl or even Madonna, Nicole Kidman or Amy MacDonald lookalike something this time… This is the shoot I had with Lette and Nina last week. Nina wanted to have a few nice pics with her sport clothes on. They both suggested that some easy/natural look makeup would be just fine, but I thought otherwise. With a little bit of makeup gym stories that I was telling them, they’ve got the idea. And this is what we’ve created. It became a true fitness girl (almost pin up) photoshoot, with once again, nice photo’s as result - and a couple of *winks* towards the ladies who can recognise themselfs within this story.

| After her fitness/gym session she feels relaxed, fresh, fit and beautiful.. there’s no even need for shower after the gym, as there was no sweat at all… Except changing her clothes, fixing her hair is probably the only thing she’ll still need to do, before she goes out. |

By the way, Nina is a brave girl (and also a top model !!). Lette and I agreed that she may come back and work with us again some day…
And no, she didn’t apear with makeup on her face that morning.
Nina used to be an athlete and after that she switched to dance classes. Currently she works as a model and a graphic designer.

Nina is a real natural talent. You knew instantley what you want and did not need any persuation for that vision. Not only the splendid colours but also de convincing poses are eyecatchers as a total. This is how teamwork should be. It may take some time but I am already looking forward to a next time.

Oh yes, I am sure of that. They are not only differently than usual but also very recognizable in everybody’s surroundings. And the very artistic part two (you haven’t posted here yet) a fantastic insiders view of the additive a worldtraveling artist can do. I am so pleased we can make these things together. I am also sure many photographers and many models are jealous at Nina and me.

People should indeed better be jealous at Nina and you. Makeup part is easy, really!

Thnx Diana! Very sweet of you… I understood from your other message that you’d like to have your 3d photoshoot with me, in Germany. I’m pleased to hear that. Well, go ahead, arange a shoot with your German photographers colleagues, anywhere between April 17 (Fri.) and April 23 (Thur.)
Next to my (already in planning) shoot in Belgium, another shoot in Germany would be a nice warming-up for Finland.

I’ve seen the infomercials for I think it’s Flirty Girl Fitness selling their dvds but I never got write down the number. I’ve been to their site but there is no mention of this. Does anyone know where I can get more information either online or over the phone?
