Finland’s next top model

This was my second photoshoot with the photographer Ville Paul. It was an evening shoot. He came to pick me up about 6 PM. About 7 PM we started - and we finished around 2 AM.

This time he asked model Niina to stand in a front of his camera.

The evening went great, although he had to do his (other) work too. There was a mobile conference from his work going on, so we were interrupted all the time. Well, until 10.30 PM at least.
And there was a little story about this model he told me about.. which I think is cute.

It went more or less like this: after the first photoshoot he had with Niina, he sent her a selection of like let’s say 10-15 pictures he thought were the best. But the model wasn’t really satisfied with the edited pictures, so she wanted more. “Alright”, he thought (as relaxed as he can be) so, he sent her another set of pictures that he was also very satisfied about. At the end, she requested all of them (also not edited nor selected ones, which is not common in photographers world, to give away these too), let’s say 800 pictures. :-)

Niina is thus the model who’s not afraid of self criticism. And that’s good. I like that.

Even after our shoot together, she arranged a new one with Ville already. The girl shall obviously not rest until she gets that perfect picture! Or even more perfect pictures. I like that too.
She’s not afraid of hard work either and that’s perhaps the reason that she deserves a chance, of becoming Finland’s next top model some day.

But that’s just my opinion, of course. :))

Similar self criticism that model Niina showed, Ville has too I noticed. What I like the most about this photographer dude, is that he TAKES TIME. Before or during the shoot, he’s able to b*tch forever about models clothes for instance, like: are the model’s dresses too short or too long? Should she better wear pants or not? Has she brought good shoes (color) with her and stuff like that… Let alone regularly putting his camera aside to take time and show/explain the model what the right movements should be.

Almost my twin brother at some aspects. ;-)

I think I shouldn’t write that much.
