Estée Lauder, Double Wear Stay-in-place ShadowSticks. Alex bought 3 of them:
- 01 Gold Pearl
- 04 Pink Shell
- 05 Silver Lilac
Founded in 1946, Estée Lauder is presently one of the most well recognized skin care and cosmetic company across the world. When Estée Lauder and husband Joseph Lauder began producing cosmetics in New York City, they only started on with four products - super rich all purpose cream, crème pack, cleansing oil and skin lotion. Over the years, they steadily expanded the range and continued to sell their cosmetic products in the United States. Finally, the company went international in 1960. Today, Estée Lauder is acknowledged as a prominent skin care and cosmetic brand, selling its products with numerous outlets and sections in departmental stores across the globe.
Long wear make up
Redefining heath and beauty, the company offers some of the finest skin care products such as cleanser, purifying facials, oil control hydrator, long wear make up, long wear eye and lip make-up, make-up remover lotion, re-nutriv lifting serum, crème, revitalizing comfort, moisturizer and various skin repair solutions; along with beautiful fragrances for men and women that has been a rage and in vogue since many years.
Off late, a product that has equally gained popularity in the market is the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Shadow Sticks. The Shadow Stick comes in several savors such as Gold Pearl, Bronze, Sand Shimmer, Rose Chrome, Golden Peach and Black Pearl. This Double Wear Stay-in-place Shadow Stick ideally glides on smooth and easily without creasing. You will be pleasantly surprised to find how it lasts all day/night without creasing!
How to use Double Wear Stay-in-place Shadow Stick?
To use the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Shadow Stick, all you have to do is to swipe it onto the lid that has a stick, and use the eye shadow that is a cream. The Estée Lauder Shadow Sticks is dermatologist-tested, ophthalmologist-tested C and is fragrance-free. Out of seven colors to choose from, the Gold Pearl especially compliments all skin type and tone. It is a subtle gold/cream color that will work its magic on you, making you look gracefully petite! Whereas the Pink Shell is perfect for the day’s delicate look at work or university and the silver lilac shade will win you all the attention, from formal dinners to those wild parties. Just like our world traveling make-up artist Alex uses these products on his models, its time for you as well to swivel up with this Shadow Stick; give those creamy strokes and stay glam for 12 hours.

Leslie, where did Laura suddenly dissapear? ;)
Pay attention: “To use the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Shadow Stick, all you have to do is to swipe it onto the lid that has a stick, and use the eye shadow that is a cream…”
Although, that’s’s what the article above says.
Means, when using this kind of product (I personly have only 3, above listed, colors.. and that’s pretty much all I use made by Estee Lauder or it’s daughter company MAC), it can go either direction. Smokey, Extreme, Glamour… or even Beach Babe Eyes! ;)
Look what Lauren Luke does with it.. oh well, with a MAC version of it anyway.

For smokey eye (one of her many examples) she rather choses a shimmer cream as a base. Take a look! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-R7qSZhq1E ..which does more or less the same and some people just hate that cross-products idea: http://www.theglossgoss.com/2009/06/illamasqua-shimmer-cream.html, including myself. However, I’m not a MAC dude, so don’t take me for granted, but Lauren’s choices are still interesting. So it’s in the end all about a technique we’re talking about. Not really about the product itself. What I find the most interesting, is Lauren’s way of thinking, probably also the reason that I like her work so much.. It’s like: “Alright, I want that look, how do I get there?” - I like that attitude! - …and when you’ve done it many times, you simply know that there are many ways to do it. So it doesn’t really matter which/whose products you use. Means further.. u don’t necessarily need Estee Lauder/MAC’s product to achieve that kind of results. Other brands (outside of either Estee Lauder’s or L’Oreal’s empire), offer you the same, except that they are often much cheaper and far less busy with emptying your pocket with cross-products. I guess it’s simply a common disease when companies become too big.
Oh well, just as long as u don’t use Max Factor’s brand-new Smoky Eye Effect Eyeshadow sticks, u’ll be doing fine I guess. I recently tested those and all I can say is that Max Factor’s sticks simply suck! Such a shame I had to pay 14 euro (a piece) for that crap.. honestly! But I guess I was way too impulsive while buying 5 pieces of them, before even testing just one. Feeling almost like a female buyer now haha.
Lauren is fabulous, isn’t she?! :)
