To fly - or not to fly?

During my last year world trip, I survived a virus I got hit with in Finland and 40+ temperatures in India. I esacped bombings in Jakarta and I laughed on brainwashing “Global Swine Flu Pandemic” proclaimed by Australian authorities, while I was in Sydney. I also ignored friendly warnings of hotel stuff to stay in hotel on Chilean 9/11 eve, although a couple of people were killed that night in Santiago, as the newspapers reported the other day… I’ve been stuborn and went out that night anyway.

And now I’m supposed to cancel my flight to Montpellier because of little bit volcanic ash in the air? I don’t think so!

But here is how’s the situation at the moment anyway.

European sky is partly reopened

EU ministers allow planes to fly in most of Europe. (that’s what the news guys say)
After EU transport ministers agreed to lower the restrictions caused by clouds of volcanic ash from Iceland, more planes are going to fly to/and from European airports beginning Tuesday morning.

European air space is curently devidid into three fly zones.

European transport ministers, who met by teleconference due the no-fly restrictions, agreed to create a smaller no-fly zone. This smaller no-fly zone is around third of the size of the current one.

From Tuesday on, European air space is going to be divided into three fly zones:

  • a no-fly zone, where sky is mostly contaminated by ash.
  • a limited fly zone, where flights safety goes first and where safety checks are continuously being evaluated by national authorities.
  • normal fly zone, with no restrictions.

Latest updates from Transavia airlines

Latest update from Transavia airlines, the airlines I fly with to Montpellier next week Monday.

Monday, 19 April 2010, 22.29h: Transavia hopes to provide information to its passengers via the Internet, on the continuation of a limited number of flights as soon as possible.

Teaser lingerie shoot

A while ago photographer Edwin, my favorite model Mirjam and me, had this lingerie shoot in Schiedam. Here’s a little preview. ;-)

Just in case you hate me now, well, don’t. Relax!
Within a couple of days I’ll place a whole serie pics of her. And none of the pictures is gonna be blured. No more teasers. :))

… stay tuned!
